Laura McKinnon

Laura is a mother, writer, business owner, and movement teacher dedicated to helping others find healing, hope, and wellness.

Her journey into movement and somatic-based practices began after recovering from an injury through yoga. Experiencing a level of ease and freedom in her body she had never known before inspired her to open and operate three yoga studios in California, where she created welcoming spaces offering a variety of movement and holistic healing modalities before relocating to northwest Montana.

Today, Laura continues to share her passion for movement and wellness through both in-person and online classes. Her teaching emphasizes functional anatomy, mindful movement, breath awareness, and creating a supportive environment where students can reconnect with their bodies. She is also a certified in Grief Yoga® and offers compassionate grief coaching for families navigating pregnancy and infant loss.

Laura is the co-author of two #1 Amazon bestselling books, Find Your Voice, Save Your Life, Volume 3 and Strong Mothers: More Than a Survival Guide. She is currently writing her next book, Heaven's Rainbo: Messages of Faith, Hope, and Love.

Grounded in God's grace, Laura openly shares her journey through motherhood, faith, loss, and healing through her writing and speaking. She also leads the St. Richard Little Ones Ministry at her parish in Columbia Falls, supporting families with compassion, faith, and community.

Laura lives in northwest Montana with her family, where she enjoys exploring the outdoors, tending her garden, and caring for her animals.
